How do RSVP confirmation and reminder emails work?
When someone RSVPs, AddEvent automatically sends a confirmation email immediately. Reminder emails and follow-ups are controlled by Notification Flows - reusable email sequences you configure once and apply across multiple events.
The confirmation email
Sent instantly when an attendee submits their RSVP. It includes:- Event title, date, time, and location
- The attendee's RSVP response (Yes / Maybe / No)
- An Add to Calendar button - so attendees can save the event to Google, Apple, Outlook, or Yahoo directly from the email
- Any custom confirmation message you've written
Reminder emails via Notification Flows
Notification Flows let you set up a sequence of timed emails around each event:- Before the event - send 1 week before, 1 day before, 1 hour before, or any interval you define
- After the event - send a follow-up, survey link, or thank-you message
What you can customize in every email
- Subject line and body copy with full text editing
- Design and branding - colors, logo, layout via a no-code email builder
- Sender name and reply-to address
- Sender email address (your own domain, on paid plans)
- Merge tags - automatically insert attendee name, event title, date, and other dynamic values
