How do I send RSVP confirmation and reminder emails from my own domain?

Last updated August 7, 2026

You can send AddEvent's RSVP confirmation and reminder emails from your own email address and domain on paid plans - so attendees see your brand in the From field, not AddEvent's.

Why this matters

By default, AddEvent sends RSVP emails from a generic @addevent.com sender address. Switching to your own domain does two things:

  1. Brand consistency - confirmations arrive from events@yourcompany.com or hello@yourcompany.com
  2. Deliverability - emails from your verified domain are less likely to land in spam

How to set it up

  1. In your AddEvent dashboard, go to Account SettingsEmail Settings (or similar, depending on your plan)
  2. Enter your custom sender name (e.g., "The Events Team") and email address (e.g., events@yourcompany.com)
  3. AddEvent will ask you to verify domain ownership by adding DNS records (SPF and DKIM) to your domain's DNS settings
  4. Add the provided SPF record and DKIM TXT record to your DNS (usually done in your domain registrar or DNS provider - Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc.)
  5. Once DNS records propagate (typically 15 minutes to a few hours), verify in AddEvent and your custom sender is active

What changes

  • From name: your custom sender name (e.g., "Acme Events")
  • From address: your email address (e.g., events@acme.com)
  • Reply-to: optionally set a separate reply-to address
  • Email footer: still shows AddEvent branding on Small Business plans; removable on Professional and Enterprise

Plan availability

Custom sender name and email address are available on Small Business, Professional, and Enterprise plans. The free Hobby plan uses AddEvent's default sender.
