How can I create a custom RSVP link for my event?

Last updated July 1, 2026

Creating a custom RSVP link with AddEvent takes about two minutes and requires no technical setup.

Step-by-step

  1. Sign up or log in to AddEvent (free Hobby plan works)
  2. Create an RSVP event - add your event title, date, time, location, and description
  3. Configure your RSVP form - choose what information to collect. By default AddEvent collects name, email, and RSVP response (Yes/Maybe/No). On paid plans, add custom fields for dietary requirements, company name, or any other information you need.
4. Copy your RSVP link - from the sharing options, copy the event landing page URL. This is your RSVP link. It's unique to your event and hosted by AddEvent.
  5. Share it - paste the link into emails, social media posts, your website, or anywhere else

What attendees experience

They click your link, see your event details and RSVP form, fill in their information, and receive an automatic confirmation email with an Add to Calendar button. No account creation required. Works on any device and browser.

Customizing your RSVP link destination

If you want the RSVP form on your own website instead of at the AddEvent-hosted URL, use the embeddable RSVP form - a code snippet you paste into your site. Attendees register without leaving your page. The same confirmation email and Add to Calendar flow fires automatically.

RSVP link vs. RSVP button

The RSVP link is a plain URL - useful for email text, SMS, and social media. The RSVP button is an embeddable widget you place on your website, styled to match your design. Both lead to the same registration experience.
