What happens if I exceed my plan limits?

Last updated July 1, 2026

When you hit your plan limits, Add to Calendar buttons stop working for new clicks, RSVP submissions are blocked, and new calendar subscriptions are rejected - but everything already set up continues to function.

What stops working

  • Add to Calendar buttons and links - users who click see an error or the button doesn't render
  • RSVP forms - new submissions are blocked; attendees who already RSVPed are unaffected
  • Calendar subscriptions - new subscribers can't subscribe until the period resets or you upgrade

What keeps working

  • All your created events and calendars remain intact - nothing is deleted
  • Existing calendar subscribers continue to receive updates as your calendar syncs
  • Existing RSVP attendee data is fully accessible and exportable
  • Your dashboard, settings, and billing remain fully accessible

How to fix it

Upgrade your plan - takes effect immediately and expands your limits right away. Go to your AddEvent dashboard → Billing → Upgrade.

Wait for the period to reset - your usage resets on the same date each month. If you're close to your limit near the end of a period, waiting a few days may be sufficient.

How to monitor your usage

Your AddEvent dashboard shows real-time usage vs. limits - Add to Calendar clicks used, RSVPs collected, and calendar subscribers - so you can see when you're approaching your ceiling before you hit it.

Can I get an overage allowance?

AddEvent doesn't currently offer automatic overage billing. If you regularly hit your limits, upgrading to the next tier or talking to the Enterprise team about a custom volume plan is the recommended path.
