Does AddEvent have a WordPress plugin?

Last updated July 1, 2026

Yes. AddEvent has an official free WordPress plugin available in the WordPress plugin directory. It lets you add an embeddable events calendar or events list to any WordPress page with a Gutenberg block - no coding required.

What the plugin does

  • Adds an AddEvent Calendar block to the Gutenberg block editor
  • You enter your AddEvent Calendar ID and the full calendar widget or events list embeds on your page automatically
  • Events display in a responsive month, week, or schedule view
  • Visitors can subscribe to your calendar directly from the embedded widget
  • The calendar updates automatically as you add or change events in AddEvent - no manual updates to WordPress needed

How to install

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New
  2. Search for "AddEvent"
  3. Click Install then Activate
  4. Add the AddEvent Calendar block to any page or post
  5. Enter your Calendar ID (found in your AddEvent dashboard under your calendar settings)
  6. Save and publish

Finding your Calendar ID

In the AddEvent dashboard, open your calendar → Settings → look for the Calendar ID in the sharing options. It's a short alphanumeric code like Fd272527.

What about Add to Calendar buttons?

For individual Add to Calendar buttons (not the full calendar widget), copy the button embed code from your AddEvent event's sharing options and paste it into a Custom HTML block in your WordPress editor. The plugin is specifically for the calendar widget.

Does it work with page builders?

Yes - Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, and other page builders support HTML embed blocks where you can paste the AddEvent button code. The Gutenberg block approach works natively in the default WordPress editor.
