How to add an Add to Calendar button to Eventbrite

Last updated August 15, 2026

Adding an Add to Calendar link to Eventbrite ensures ticket buyers save your event to their personal calendar immediately after purchase - closing the gap that Eventbrite's post-purchase flow leaves open.

Why this matters

Eventbrite handles ticket sales but does not automatically add purchased events to buyers' Google, Apple, or Outlook calendars. A buyer who does not add your event to their calendar is significantly more likely to no-show.

Where to add the link

1. Event description Add the AddEvent link as a hyperlink in your Eventbrite event description: "Add this event to your calendar - [link]"

2. Order confirmation email (highest impact) In your Eventbrite event settings, add a custom message to the order confirmation email. Go to Event Dashboard → Emails → Order Confirmation and include your AddEvent Add to Calendar link. This is the highest-impact placement - it appears immediately after purchase when intent is strongest.

3. Order confirmation page Customize the post-registration message to include the link.

Setting it up

  1. In your AddEvent dashboard, open or create the corresponding event and copy the Add to Calendar link from Sharing
  2. Paste it into your Eventbrite description and/or order confirmation message
Eventbrite handles the ticket purchase. AddEvent ensures buyers actually show up.
