Can I customize the look of my Add to Calendar button?

Last updated July 1, 2026

Yes - AddEvent buttons are fully customizable, and changes take effect everywhere the button is embedded as soon as you save in the dashboard.

What you can customize

Colors and style

  • Background color, text color, and border color to match your brand
  • Button shape: rounded corners, fully rounded pill, or square
  • Size: compact, standard, or wide
  • Hover state colors
Button text Change "Add to Calendar" to any label you choose - "Save to my calendar," "Book your spot," "Set a reminder," or anything else that fits your voice.

Calendar app options Show or hide specific calendar services from the dropdown. If your audience is entirely enterprise Microsoft users, you can hide Google and Yahoo to simplify the interface. If you're targeting consumer audiences, you can remove Office 365.

Custom CSS (Professional and Enterprise plans) Full control over button appearance with your own CSS - pixel-perfect matching to your website or email template design.

Custom code injection (Professional and Enterprise plans) Inject custom JavaScript or HTML around the button for tracking, conditional display logic, or integration with your marketing stack.

How to apply customizations

All button customization is done in the AddEvent dashboard under your event's sharing settings. Copy the updated embed code and paste it into your website - or, if you've already embedded it, updates to the button style take effect without re-pasting the code.

Email link customization

Add to Calendar links (for use in email campaigns) have their own style options - text link, styled button image, or plain URL - so they match your email template rather than your website design.

Branding note

On the free Hobby plan, buttons include a small "Powered by AddEvent" label. This can be removed on Small Business and above.
