Happy Father’s Day from everyone here at AddEvent! To celebrate, we asked our Founder Michael Nilsson, father of two, for a bit of fatherly advice. In response, he reminded us all to be our own, original selves:

What is Father’s Day?
Father’s Day is a holiday that is celebrated annually in many countries around the world, typically on the third Sunday of June. The day is dedicated to celebrating and honoring fathers and father figures, including grandfathers, stepfathers, and foster fathers, and the influence they have on their children’s lives.
Father’s Day has its origins in the United States, where it was first celebrated in 1910. It was created as a complement to Mother’s Day, which had been established several years earlier. The holiday has since spread to other countries, although the date and customs may vary.
On Father’s Day, children may give their fathers or father figures gifts, cards, or special treats to show their appreciation and love. Families may also spend time together, such as by going on a special outing or having a meal together.
