There’s nothing that undermines efficient communication faster than a client’s inbox flooded with notifications. For COHD, a boutique leadership development firm running a 10-month program with weekly sessions, that was the reality. Every small scheduling change triggered a wave of emails — sometimes 30 or more at once — leaving confused participants and diminishing the client experience. Founder Haley Hansel knew there had to be a better way.
COHD, a boutique leadership development firm, needed a seamless way to manage its 10-month Elevaters program. Each cohort meets for 90 minutes a week over 40 weeks, and scheduling these recurring sessions was fast becoming a major headache.
Founder Haley Hansel had been manually creating large recurring event series through email. Any change meant sending dozens of new notifications, flooding participants’ inboxes and causing frustration. With each client using different email systems, there was no consistent, reliable way to manage scheduling.
“If anything ever needed to change, people were bombarded with 30+ notifications to their inbox. Every client uses a different email platform, so there was no avoiding it. It was frustrating for everyone.”
— Haley Hansel, Founder, COHD
Haley turned to AddEvent as a way to simplify and professionalize scheduling. She now creates a dedicated AddEvent calendar for each new cohort and shares it in the first session, where participants add it in real time. Participants subscribe once and automatically receive any schedule updates. Haley can adjust dates or times behind the scenes without disrupting clients’ inboxes.
“I get the calendar set up, send one invite, and during the first session we have everybody add the AddEvent calendar. From there, I never have to worry about it again.”
— Haley Hansel, Founder, COHD
The result? A scheduling process that’s invisible but powerful. AddEvent allows COHD to be “seen but not heard” — a seamless, reliable service that supports the program without adding frustration and friction.
Since implementing AddEvent, COHD has created over 750 events across 10+ calendars, with active calendar subscribers growing each month as new clients join the program. Beyond these metrics, Hansel and her team have been able to save countless hours in admin work by eliminating manual scheduling and reminders.
Most importantly, AddEvent has helped COHD deliver a smoother, more professional experience for its clients.
“It’s certainly upped the professionalism of what I’m offering. No matter the client’s tech setup, it’s seamless — and that’s a game changer.”
— Haley Hansel, Founder, COHD
Looking ahead, Haley hopes to expand COHD’s use of AddEvent as more coaches join the team. For now, AddEvent continues to be a critical part of COHD’s operations, helping Haley focus on what matters most: empowering managers to become better leaders.
