AddEvent allows you to create both recurring events and event series. With a recurring event, you cannot edit or delete any of the occurrences individually. In contrast, event series allows you to create a mass of events at one time and then edit or delete them individually. This is because a recurring event is one event that occurs multiple times. You can share a recurring event with one add-to-calendar button or add-to-calendar link.
