You need protein to:

· Fuel your metabolism to support a healthy weight
· Produce enzymes to digest food
· Make antibodies for a strong immune system
· Build lean muscle and stay fit
· Prevent muscle loss as you age
· Keep hair, skin, and nails looking healthy
And how does it support good health?
Now here’s the kicker: Your body doesn’t store protein. You must replenish it through food every single day.
That’s why our goal this week is to increase your protein intake to .8 gram per pound of body weight.
This is a flexible guideline, not a strict rule. You don’t have to hit that number exactly each day, and if you’re currently getting much less, don’t try to jump overnight. The focus is on steady, sustainable progress. Start by increasing a little at a time and be consistent—that’s where the real impact happens.
