About this event

MONOLOGUE TRAINING INTENSIVE with Ronda Hewitt (Ages 18+)

All Live Arts volunteers are eligible for a 15% discount off of WATERWORKS Community Intensives. Please email Education Director Ti Ames at ti@livearts.org for more information!

You have only minutes in a monologue to captivate an audience. Join a workshop that will stretch and sharpen your monologue skills. A monologue is defined as an uninterrupted speech given from a character in either a solo moment or a larger scene to another character(s) on stage. Bring a printed copy of a monologue of your choice to the workshop. Select one that feels comfortable and vital to you. We will explore script analysis and theater exercises which will encourage a depth of creativity and confidence in your continued acting journey.

Note for Intensive: Please be aware of the play the monologue comes from—preferably reading the play prior to the workshop. No need to have the monologue memorized but do be familiar with it to work on it.
