Join us for a discussion of Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, a dystopian novel set in a future where genetic engineering rules the world. It explores themes of existential risk, animal welfare, trans- and posthumanism, and the psychological effects of widespread poverty and violence.
We'll be discussing the book in full, but if you don't get a chance to finish the book before the group, feel free to join anyway!
• We can provide you with a free digital copy of the book if you're planning to attend the discussion: https://forms.gle/2e1X1c1FXgcnKewa9
• If the time doesn't work for you, we are hosting another discussion on September 24 at 6 pm UTC.
• Join the #book-club channel at EA Anywhere Slack to engage with other members and suggest books for future discussions: https://bit.ly/3k6vAfj
