8th Annual PharmedOut International Conference
Abstract: With speakers from Canada, France, Australia, and the United States, this conference will discuss effective strategies for reducing the influence of commercial interests in healthcare. These strategies include using litigation and legislation to mitigate harms of industry influence on medical information and public health. The keynote speaker will be Harriet Washington, author of Carte Blanche, Medical Apartheid, and Deadly Monopolies. The full conference schedule is available here.
Continuing education credit is available for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and psychologists. Registration is complimentary for government employees and press. Registration is available here, and is $150 with a reduced rate of $25 for students and medical residents.
