Tuesday, December 2, 1:00pm - 2:00pm (EST)
Join us December 2, 2025 for our last Brave Conversation of 2025! This gathering will include a brief update on the year, and will feature storytelling by Joel Stetler. Please share this opportunity with others you think should know about Brave Like Gabe!
Joel Stetler is an educator, writer, comic, and longtime Brave Like Gabe supporter. He and his wife Amanda have run multiple marathons with the foundation, including a 37-mile, 37th birthday run during the COVID-19 shutdowns to raise funds for Brave Like Gabe. Now living with stage IV sarcoma and no longer able to run, Joel speaks about resilience, identity, and the deeper endurance we discover when life changes our plans.
“I used to believe running was how I proved I could do hard things — until cancer took it away. My 37-mile run during the shutdowns showed me that strength was never about the miles; it was about the part of us that endures when everything else disappears — and how that part can keep moving forward, even on an entirely unplanned path.”
