Día de los Muertos with Your Sisters

Event Overview:
Join your Sigma Kappa sisters in Fort Lauderdale for an afternoon and evening celebrating culture, community, and connection at Downtown Fort Lauderdale's Día de los Muertos celebration.

We'll experience the festival together while enjoying live music, cultural performances, local food vendors, artisans, and the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos. Members are welcome to come for the afternoon, stay through the evening, and enjoy the festival at their own pace.

Schedule:

• 4:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. – Sisterhood Meet-Up
  Meet us at Esplanade Park and connect with fellow alumnae before exploring the festival.
• 4:15 – 5:45 p.m. – Explore the Festival
  Enjoy the cultural performances, music, food, vendors, and activities throughout the festival. Grab a bite, shop local, and spend time getting to know your fellow sisters.
• 5:45 – 6:00 p.m. – Gather for the Processional
  We'll regroup as a chapter and find a spot to watch the evening's Skeleton Processional.
• 6:00 p.m. – Skeleton Processional
  Experience one of the festival's signature traditions as the processional makes its way through downtown Fort Lauderdale.
• 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Continue the Celebration
  Stay and enjoy the festival with your sisters through the evening. Members are welcome to leave whenever they'd like.

• Admission to the festival is free.
• Public parking garages are available next to the Museum of Discovery and the surrounding area. Please be aware there will be road closures around the area
• Food, beverages, and merchandise are available for individual purchase.
• Alumnae, prospective members, family, and friends are welcome to attend.
• This is an outdoor event, so comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate attire are recommended.
• Festival attire and SK letters are encouraged! Consider incorporating festive colors or accessories while being respectful of the cultural traditions being celebrated.
