This week we open two bottles from the same plant, and the two reports could not look less alike.
Both are Daucus carota. One is our Carrot Seed from India, and its report is dominated by a single sesquiterpenol, carotol, at about seven tenths of the bottle. The other is our Carrot Seed Wild from France, the plant most of us know as Queen Anne's Lace, and its report leads with an ester, geranyl acetate, with pinene behind it. Same name on the label, two completely different oils in the hand, and you can smell the difference before you read a word.
Carrot Seed is also The Thriving Aromatherapist's oil of the month, so this hour is the setup: we get to know the oil together, and Karen blends with it all October inside Thrive.
⨠What We Will Explore and Create Live
We will blend a facial oil, and get into:
⢠Two bottles, one species, and why the reports diverge this far
⢠Carotol, and what a sesquiterpenol does in a skin-care blend
⢠Geranyl acetate, and what an ester does to the aroma
⢠Reading both current reports side by side
⢠Three quiz questions up top, answered at the end
šµ The Tea
Bring your cup and tell us what is in it.
š The Gift and the Deal
The attendee gift and the oil-of-the-week deal are open to everyone watching.
šæ An Invitation to Thrive
Karen goes live with Carrot Seed on Thursday, October 1, inside The Thriving Aromatherapist, and blends with it all month alongside a community doing the same. If Tea Time is the hour, Thrive is the practice: https://www.thriveeo.com
š Go Deeper in the Club
The facial oil recipe PDF and the Carrot Seed profile go into the series classroom inside The Natural Living Club, our membership community at $4 a month or $29 a year: https://www.skool.com/natural-living
