"Citizen McCaw," the acclaimed 2008 documentary chronicling the unraveling of the Santa Barbara News-Press, returns for a one-time-only public screening, an appropriate time as the owner of the city's historic daily newspaper has filed for bankruptcy, bringing an end to its more than 150 years of continuous publication. Prescient, moving and superbly-reported, the film will be followed by a conversation featuring some of the key players in the production, and in the story it tells, about the future of local news in Santa Barbara.
