How can we create welcoming, affirmative spaces and experiences for all patrons, even under the constraints of limited budgets and resources? Join our nationally recognized experts for an evening of learning, conversation, and actionable insights into the challenges and creative opportunities that arise when you build accessibility into your immersive design process. Lydia Garcia and Carol Krueger of the DCPA and Regan Linton of Phamaly Theatre Company will share principles of practice and helpful tips and resources while engaging the evening’s participants in a series of thought-provoking presentations and hands-on breakout discussion. Formal program begins at 6:45pm with networking and idea-share prior.
When you arrive, please check in at the front desk of the Newman Center and let them know you are attending Immerse in Access. We will convene in the Orange Studio on the second floor and then may move to additional spaces for breakout groups.
Parking can be difficult, so please allow extra time for that. There is some metered parking in the lot out front and on surrounding streets, but the most reliable (and expensive) option is the Performing Arts Center garage. The closest light rail stop is the Convention center, and there are bike racks out front.
