Thursday, January 29, 2:30pm - 4:00pm (EST)
January's Briefing will be Worker Self-Directed Non-Profits - A Conversation with the Sustainable Economies Law Center with Sue Bennett. Please join us on Thursday, January 29 from 2:30 - 4:00pm on Zoom for a 1.5 hour Briefing.
In January's Briefing, Sue Bennett (Sustainable Economies Law Center) will share crucial elements of making organizations more just, democratic, and liberatory for the workers who - collectively - control and govern our nonprofit - to the fullest extent allowed by the law governing nonprofits. Sue will describe how SELC makes decisions, designs equitable pay structures, and shares operational work across the organization in ways that distribute power and eliminate structural hierarchy! Bring your questions and interest to this webinar as we hope for deep discussions about how our workplaces can be a living classroom where workers practice and perfect the art of “running the place” together.
