Food security is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, shaped by food loss and waste, climate shocks, supply chain disruption, malnutrition, and rising humanitarian need. In Saudi Arabia, it is also a national priority under Vision 2030, with agriculture contributing an estimated SAR 114 billion to GDP in 2024, even as food waste costs the country around SAR 40 billion annually.

This convening brings together donors, family businesses, corporate CSR teams, philanthropic institutions, nonprofits, and public sector partners to explore how philanthropy can move beyond short term relief. Sessions will examine how stronger organisational governance, accountable delivery models, strategic partnerships, and responsible corporate engagement can reduce duplication, strengthen local capacity, and align resources with national and global food security goals.
