Eric Bio:
Eric Henry is on a mission to transform the apparel industry for the benefit of people and planet. As President of TS Designs in Burlington, NC, he leads a company dedicated to producing high-quality, printed apparel through a domestic, transparent, and traceable supply chain. With over 40 years in the business, Eric has witnessed the shift from a predominantly domestic industry to today, where over 97% of clothing is produced overseas, made largely from synthetic, fossil-fuel-based materials. He is proving that clothing made domestically with natural fibers can compete in the global apparel industry.
Nelson Bio:
Nelson, an active member of AATCC for over 40 years, is now retired and is a textile consultant with a technical focus on wet processing including preparation, dyeing, finishing, and fibers. With over 50 years of experience with mill manufacturing, dyes and chemical supply, Nelson brings a wealth of expertise to textile mills and manufacturers, dye chemical suppliers, and apparel brands. In 2003, Nelson was awarded the AATCC’s Harold C. Chapin Award for distinguished service to the Association and in 2015 received the AATCC Education Award. .
