SCANZ Auckland Evening - Worksafe Inspector "Unplugged"

Wednesday, May 23, 06:30pm - 08:30pm (NZST)

Wednesday 23 May 2018
Fisher House, Auckland
6.00pm for 6.30pm start

Yes, we all know the basics about the new HSW Act, and its implications - however, that doesn't mean we don't have any questions.  Now's the chance to ask, in an open, friendly forum!

Shane Strode-Penny has worked for Worksafe for years and is one of their most respected inspectors.  He's the one the other inspectors go to whenever they have questions, which means his level of knowledge is huge and his breadth of experience covers every area you can think of!  He will give a brief rundown on the latest initiatives from Worksafe, but the rest of the evening is directed by you.

Shane has offered to come in and answer whatever questions you have in regards to Worksafe, the Health & Safety Act and its implications, Hazardous Substances, manufacturing, logistics, etc, etc.  However, please do not be limited by that list, if you have any questions about anything that could be related to Health & Safety, he can most likely answer them for you, or in the rare chance he doesn't know (he's not perfect and will be the first to admit it), he can at least point you in the right direction.

So, if you want to know more, come along to our 'Unplugged' evening!  Bring along your workmates, or anyone else who may have questions.  The only limit is the number of people we can fit in the room!

We plan to have nibbles from 6pm, and look to start at 6.30pm.  Hopefully, this will ensure that everyone can make it through the traffic!  How long the evening lasts depends on the questions asked, so that's really up to you.
