Understanding Menopause and Why It’s a Workplace Issue

As a leader or manager, what are you currently doing to support your people in learning more about the impact of menopause in the workplace?
 
What support are you currently offering to members of your team who may be going through perimenopause or menopause?
 
With 59% of women, trans-men, and non-binary people assigned women at birth between the ages of 45 and 55 saying that menopause symptoms have a negative impact on them at work (according to the CIPD), it’s crucial that organisations begin to take steps to overcome taboo in the workplace.
 
But doing so isn’t a quick win, and many organisations require external support in doing so, which is why we’re hosting a 90-minute workshop with menopause coach Jo this October.

Taking place during International Menopause Month, the workshop will give you a greater understanding of menopause, perimenopause, and post-menopause.

We will explore why it happens, the symptoms, and impact it can have on women, trans-men, and non-binary people personally and in the workplace.

By the end of the workshop you will:

• Have a greater understanding of what perimenopause, menopause & post menopause is. 
• Have a greater understanding of the symptoms.
• Be aware of the challenges it can present in the workplace and what recent research tells us.
• Be mindful of how it may be affecting you at work.
• Define your next steps in addressing this issue either as a manager, colleague, or person affected by it.
