What to expect from session 1
- How do we best embed doing good in our day to day work
– Discussion around ways this can happen (charity vs social enterprise vs funding impact vs making impact)
- When do charities work better than social enterprises? What defines success in both?
- Is scale the answer - hear from someone who has killed a charity and scaled a social enterprise (>80 people)
What to expect from session 2Â
- Our reflections on working through the first session
- How to take the first steps in each journey and what is the right order
- How to get that plan into gear and make things happen

About Weh Yeoh (Founder OIC Cambodia, Co-Founder Umbo, Author Redundant Charities)
Weh Yeoh has worked internationally and in Australia, his home country, in the social impact space for close to two decades. He is the founder of OIC Cambodia, an initiative that aims to establish speech therapy as a profession in Cambodia. Â He has a BA in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney and an MA in Development Studies from the University of NSW. He has volunteered with people with disabilities in Vietnam, interned in India, studied Mandarin in Beijing, and milked yaks in Mongolia.
Weh started OIC in 2013, and handed over leadership to a local Cambodian team in 2017 with a goal to shut the charity down in 2030. He has since co-founded Umbo, a social enterprise bridging the gap for rural Australians to access allied health services, which now has over 80 people working together on it

WHAT'S AN IMPACT COLLAB EXPERT POD?
Expert Pods are an opportunity to learn practical, social impact or business skills directly from an Expert in the Impact Collab community.Hosted online in an intimate, close knit group of 2-4, learnings are tailored and in-depth according to your personal situationIt’s all about skill-sharing in our clever community, to help us learn the essentials we need to grow and thrive in our enterprises.How do they work?
Hosted during a single month, the pods are run as 2 x 1-hour online workshops, two weeks apart.
The Workshops are interactive, with lots of Q&A, live feedback, and direct, tailored support.
At the end of Workshop 1 participants sets a list of items to action or exercise, in Workshop 2 these items are reviewed, additional feedback is given and next steps are provided.
This is by far one of our most valuable knowledge and relationship-building programs in the community. And the best part...it’s included in the Impact Collab membership!
CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOWS
If you are unable to attend your expert pod and it is 7+ days until Workshop 1 please email yaama@impactcollab.com.au to have your ticket re-released.
If it is less than 7 days until workshop 2 you will need to find a replacement for your spot using the waitlist.
If a replacement cannot be found the following cancellation fees apply.
Workshop 1: No Shows & cancellations made with less than 7 days notice, which are unable to be filled by another member on the waitlist, will be charged a $30 cancellation fee.
Workshop 2: As workshop 1 is essential for context in Workshop 2 waitlist members will not be able to come in halfway through. If you are unable to attend workshop 2, but attended workshop 1, a $15 cancellation fee will be applied.
