The Cutting Edge of Technology,
Man's future in Space and AI
and how it will affect your beliefs and your children's future.
David Beaman has spent over 16 years at SpaceX helping build the rocket systems that have reshaped modern spaceflight. As a Senior Propulsion Engineer, he specializes in fluid dynamics and heat transfer, the high-stakes science that keeps propellant tanks, engines, and critical components performing safely and efficiently under extreme conditions.
Over the course of his career, David has worked directly on the propulsion systems behind Falcon 1, Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, and Dragon, helping ensure these vehicles operate at their best when it matters most, during launch, flight, and mission execution. He has also led and supported thermal analyses for customer payloads, helping guarantee satellites and other valuable equipment survive the harsh realities of space and arrive safely in orbit.
Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, David earned a B.S. in Engineering Mechanics from Lipscomb University and later completed his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering at UCLA. During his years in Los Angeles, David and his wife Laura attended Grace Community Church before returning home to East Tennessee in 2014.
Today, David continues working remotely with SpaceX while actively serving at Grace Community Church in Maryville. When he is not solving engineering problems or supporting missions, you will likely find him spending time with his wife and their three young children, working with his highland cows on the farm, listening to music, or reading.
