Howdy, Forward Party Convention Participants!
Your Travis County hosts for State Convention weekend invite you and your family to stick around through Sunday and join the Texas Forward Party for a run, walk, or casual meander at the 49th Annual Cap10K! 👉 https://www.cap10k.com/
Why Cap10K?

Annual spring event with 15,000–25,000 participants
A fun, low-pressure atmosphere — go as fast or as slow as you want
Expect a few wild costumes (and yes… once I even saw no costume at all 😅)
A great opportunity to share our message with a big, energized crowd

Race Day Details

Race start location: Congress Ave & Riverside / Barton Springs Rd
Start time:
- 8:00 a.m. for Corral A (very fast runners)
- Other corrals start shortly after, staggered by pace
Suggested pace:
- If you’re not racing, select 15-minute miles so we can start together
- You can speed up or slow down anytime — it’s very relaxed

Meet-Up

Time: 7:45 a.m.
Location: SW corner of S. 1st St & Riverside
We’ll take a group photo, then walk together to the start

During & After the Race

Water stations and portable toilets are available along the route
- Pro tip: don’t overdo the water beforehand — bathroom lines at the start are long!
After finishing:
- Exit the finish chute and veer right-ish
- Head to the Team Area shown on this map: 👉 https://www.cap10k.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Festival_Map_Cap10K_10x9.75_Full_25v5.pdf
If we get 35 participants, we’ll have a team tent — if not, no worries!

Not Running?
No problem!
