Share an RSVP Event

This help doc explains the methods of sharing your RSVP events and where you can share it. Sharing an RSVP event is similar to sharing your event without RSVP. The only difference is your attendees will always be taken to the event landing page to register for the event before adding it to their calendar.

Different methods for sharing your RSVP events

Once you have created an RSVP event, the next step is to share the event with your users. There are 4 ways to collect RSVPs. Below is an overview of the different sharing methods.

RSVP button

An RSVP button is a great way to share an event on your website or landing page. AddEvent’s RSVP button works perfectly with most website and landing page builders, as well as with custom-built websites.

When an end-user clicks an RSVP button, they are sent to the RSVP landing page. This is done so that we can collect the user’s information before they register for the event. The user must enter the information that is required and select whether they are “Going”, “Interested” or “Can’t go” before registering for the event. RSVP links

RSVP links work the same as our RSVP button and are perfect for use with email newsletters and campaigns.

When an end-user clicks an RSVP link, they are sent to the RSVP landing page. This is done so that we can collect the user’s information before they register for the event. The user must enter the information you require and select whether they are “Going”, “Interested” or “Can’t go” before registering for the event. RSVP landing page

An RSVP landing page is an ideal way to share your event on social media and when you want to display additional information to your users about the event before they add the event to their calendar. There are also extensive customization options available, so you can make the landing page your own.

When an end-user clicks on a link to an RSVP landing page, or they click on an RSVP button or RSVP link in an email, they are brought to the landing page which displays the event name, time, location, description, and other event details. The user can click to register for the event after which they must indicate whether they are “Going”, “Interested” or “Can’t go” to the event, and enter the information that you have chosen to collect. Once they have entered this information and registered for the event, they will be presented with an add-to-calendar button which allows them to add the event to their calendar. Embeddable RSVP form

An embeddable RSVP form is a great way to share your event on your website and increases the visibility of the event compared to an RSVP button. It also means that users can register for your event directly on the tile, without ever leaving your website or landing page. The embeddable RSVP form also displays all your event details to your users.

To register for the event, the user must indicate whether they are “Going”, “Interested” or “Can’t go” to the event, and then enter the information that you have chosen to collect. Once they have entered this information and registered for the event, they will be presented with an add-to-calendar button which allows them to add the event to their calendar.
