Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is an evidence-based strategy that helps people with mental health conditions secure and maintain competitive employment. IPS is an effective model that is used all over the country as well as other parts of the world to achieve employment for people with mental health conditions who have not found success with other employment support strategies.
This webinar will offer an introduction to IPS and explore the role of the workforce system in its implementation. We will discuss the benefits of IPS for all stakeholders including but not limited to job seekers, employers, and workforce programs. Subject matter experts will highlight promising implementation practices from the field, including involvement of the workforce development system in securing IPS supports for some job seekers. Speakers include international IPS expert Robert Drake and experienced practitioners from Illinois and Missouri.
