The pandemic hit the frontline workforce hard and fundamentally changed how they do their jobs. 46% were asked to take on new tasks while 23% moved into entirely new positions. But less than half (48%) of these workers received training to help them through these changes. They had to figure things out on their own because traditional training practices just couldn’t keep up with the pace of disruption. The end of the pandemic may be within reach for some, but the need for rapid skill development is not slowing down. 54% of all employees will require significant upskilling by 2022, and 76% of employees prefer to work in organizations that prioritize future skill development. The only way we can close the skills gap is by making learning an integrated part of the everyday work experience.
Here are the big questions we'll answer in this session:
- How do you influence stakeholders to prioritize learning as a critical business process?
- How do you fit training into the busy frontline workflow?
- How do address individual development needs for a large, distributed frontline workforce?
