DESCRIPTION:Autoimmune Hepatitis (AIH) and Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) including their variants\, encompass a wide spectrum of liver diseases with diverse pathophysiology\, clinical presentation (or characteristics)\, management and prognosis. Aims of this course are to (1) recognize red flags for the diagnosis of AIH and PBC\, (2) apply diagnostic techniques according to clinical indications\, (3) correctly interpret available clinical\, laboratory and histological data\, (4) provide an overview of the new therapeutic armamentarium\, and (5) provide guidance on diagnosis and treatment options in difficult to manage patients.
