Disaster Response Convening 1: Nashville's Disaster Response Landscape & Mapping the Faith Community's Efforts

schedule

Monday, August 17, 9:00am - 11:00am (CDT)

print

This session brings faith leaders together to develop a shared understanding of Nashville's disaster response landscape with a particular focus on the faith community's role within it. While we'll ground the conversation in how federal, state, and local systems work, special attention is given to the Middle Tennessee disaster context, including the region's history, hazards, and ongoing vulnerabilities. The heart of this gathering, though, is about seeing each other: mapping who in the faith community is engaged in disaster response, where efforts overlap or leave gaps, and how churches and organizations are (or aren't) currently connected. Participants will leave with a clearer picture of the ecosystem they're part of and a foundation for working together more intentionally.

This is the first of two disaster relief convenings. For information and to RSVP for the second gathering, click here
