This is one of three Ministerial Roundtables on Transforming Food Systems. It is a moderated discussion on National and Regional experiences with Food Systems Transformation. Priority will be given to Ministers and Vice Ministers (or equivalent) who are participating live (virtual or in-person): it is not intended that recorded statements will be delivered in this session. Ministers are invited to share experiences, indicate their priorities, describe the development of food system Pathways and analyze similarities and divergence in their approaches. There will be attention to Urgency, Ambition and Immediate Priorities: Ministers are encouraged to anticipate some of the coalitions that might be expected to emerge. The outcome of these Ministerial Roundtables will be the synthesis of experiences and lessons to be learnt. The discussion will focus on thematic questions including Why is food systems transformation required in our country? What kinds of transformation are necessary? How is transformation being taken forward? What is the political support for transformation? How will it be monitored over time? What kinds of joint efforts, partnering and coalition-building will be helpful in coming months and years?
