If you spend time in a forest, something becomes clear quickly:nothing survives alone.
What appears to be a collection of individual trees is actually an ongoing conversation—roots intertwined underground, fungi trading nutrients, insects pollinating, birds carrying seeds. Life speaking to life.
The strength of the forest comes not from uniformity, but from diversity and relationship.
Human systems, however, often move in the opposite direction. In our organizations, institutions, and communities we tend to favor certain voices and capacities over others—speed over reflection, confidence over doubt, decisiveness over curiosity. Some perspectives become amplified while others quietly disappear. Over time, the system becomes less resilient.
This Circle Lab invites us to explore the delicate balance between collective wisdom and collective folly—how groups can become wiser than any individual, and how they can also organize themselves in ways that silence what matters most.
