Community Night Northwoods

Hey there! We would be thrilled if you could join us this Monday night to share a meal and groceries with our neighbors in the Northwood and Love Communities. We're all about restoring hope, and we believe that together we can make a positive difference in the lives of those around us. We will welcome you with open arms, walk you through everything, and put you on a team. You can bring your small group too, there's always room for more. Let's make a difference together. Blessings!
π How the night unfolds
- 6:00 pm Β· Welcome & team assignment. Arrive at Cavalry Hill, get checked in, and meet the people you'll serve alongside tonight.
- 6:15 pm Β· Pick up meals. Grab the meals and groceries packed earlier at Pack & Pray.
- 6:30β8:00 pm Β· Visit neighbors' homes in pairs. In groups of two or more, walk to homes nearby. Share the meal. Listen. Pray with them if it feels right.
- 8:00 pm Β· Gather at the SERVE trailer. Share testimonies and prayers from the night. The stories you'll hear are why we keep doing this.
π When you get there
- Cavalry Hill Neighborhood Center Β· 2900 Fairbanks Ave NW, Huntsville
- Look for the SERVE trailer in the lot, that's home base for the night
- Someone in a red SERVE shirt will welcome you and assign you to a team
π What to wear & bring
- Walking shoes, you'll be on your feet outdoors for about 90 minutes
- Weather-appropriate layers (this is mostly outside)
- A water bottle
- Don't worry if you don't have a red SERVE shirt, we'll have one waiting
- An open heart, that's the only required tool
π¨βπ©βπ§ Is this right for me?
Yes if you're up for walking outdoors for ~90 minutes and meeting people you don't know yet. First time? You'll be paired with someone who's done this before, you won't be on your own. Bringing a small group? Even better. We'll keep you together as a team.
A note for your first time: The home visits are simple, knock, share the meal, ask how their week was, and listen. Most of our neighbors look forward to Monday all week. You don't have to have answers. You just have to show up.
