9:50 A ‘one stop shop’ for welfare provision: Customer welfare decision tool
Engineers often encounter customers who could benefit from additional welfare support – especially those on the Priority Services Register (PSR). Working with Frazer-Nash, with support from the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC), Cadent has developed an innovative new tool for engineers to tailor welfare products and services for customers who might find themselves in a vulnerable situation. This removes the guesswork for engineers, giving operations teams confidence that they have supported someone in a vulnerable situation efficiently and based on robust evidence.
Vishal Dhanji, Innovation Project Manager – West Midlands, Cadent Gas
10:05 Panel
How can we ensure we don’t leave behind the non-digital native consumers?
Why do digital skills matter in the future of energy: what's the risk for people who are digitally excluded or don't have the skills to engage?
Are current consumer protections robust enough to handle the scale and pace of change when it comes to the digitalisation of energy?
What are the key points in the customer journey that industry and companies should be thinking about tackling?
What can we learn from other markets and countries?
