Calling all veterinarians: Join Us for a Continuing Education Event at The Animal Neurology Center!
Dr. Michael Warshaw of the Saint Louis Zoo presents “A Look Behind the Curtain of Veterinary Care Within Zoos,” an engaging, case-based course that provides insight into the day-to-day practice of veterinary medicine in a zoological setting. This session highlights both the similarities and key differences between zoological and companion animal medicine while exploring the unique challenges of caring for nondomestic species.
Through a combination of general principles and real-world case examples, participants will learn how veterinarians collaborate with animal care professionals and, when needed, outside consultants to deliver optimal animal care and welfare. The course will emphasize practical problem-solving strategies and approaches to overcoming common challenges encountered in zoological medicine.
