Join us for a collaborative brainstorming and networking mixer designed to leverage our collective knowledge to shape the future of a new initiative aimed at fostering a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem for Northwestern alumni. This event is an opportunity for interested alumni to help us figure out how we will bring this vision to life—whether through ideas, insights, or direct involvement. As we work to build a dynamic and supportive entrepreneurial community, your participation will play a crucial role in defining what this initiative becomes.
What is This Initiative?
This initiative is centered around the launch of our
Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIR) and Mentors in Residence (MIR) cohort, a program where
early-stage alumni founders will work closely with alumni mentors, investors, and specialists to develop and grow their businesses. Our goal is to build an
engaged entrepreneurial ecosystem of Northwestern alumni in the Bay Area, providing structured support for founders while
creating a space for value exchange within our community. By leveraging
Northwestern’s extensive network, we aim to strengthen the university’s presence in the Bay Area and create a hub for
entrepreneurial growth, mentorship, and collaboration.
This is a
startup within a startup, meaning we are building this initiative as we go, in direct
service of the alumni-founded startups we support. Our approach is guided by the
"Who, Not How" philosophy—
focusing on bringing together the right people (the "who") to help determine the "how" of building this initiative and ensuring that founders have the
resources, guidance, and connections needed to succeed.
Why You Should Join Us
This is your opportunity to be an
early adopter of this exciting initiative. We are seeking
a select group of passionate alumni who want to play an active role in bringing this vision to life. By participating, you’ll have the chance to
help shape the direction of the program, contribute ideas, and connect with other alumni who share a commitment to entrepreneurship and community-building.
The evening will be an
interactive brainstorming session combined with a networking mixer, where we’ll discuss the
vision for the program and explore ways you can get involved—whether it’s through
mentorship, advising startups, or contributing your expertise and resources. Expect
lively discussions, valuable connections, and collaboration over food and drinks as we work together to
co-create a powerful entrepreneurial ecosystem.
