Description and Communication of Music Metadata In Podcasts

schedule

Tuesday, September 28, 4:00pm - 6:00pm (BST)

DDEX has been asked by its members to discuss how to best describe and communicate music metadata between the various players of the podcast supply chain, including licensors of music content.

Thus DDEX is in the process of defining what its members consider to be reasonable data requirements for the various business transactions involving music in podcasts. However, for these processes and data requirements are to have any value, DDEX recognises they need to be validated against the processes and standards used by those who create, collate, and distribute podcasts and anyone who supports these companies by, for example, ensuring any content used in podcasts is licensed.

This meeting is intended to give non-DDEX members an opportunity to undertake that validation and ensure the processes and data requirements as documented by DDEX work in the real world.
