Somerset County Public Forum on Aging Services

JFS partners with the local Office on Aging & Disability Services to offer grocery shopping and friendly visiting for older adults. Somerset County funds each unit of service provided, along with an agency match that is comprised of funds from our local Federation, Sephardic Foundation on Aging, Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation as well as our newest funder - Somerset Hills Community Health Foundation.
On Wednesday June 4, the County will host its annual Public Forum on aging services through 2027. The purpose of the hearing is to offer county residents the opportunity to learn about and comment on the needs of those 60+, caregivers and persons living with a disability."
Shaina Sherman, executive director of JFS, will speak about the impact the county funds has on local older adults that JFS serves.
