Donor Centricity 3.0: The Philanthropic Psychology Way
This session will explore what we can learn from the science of how human beings form relationships to inform how we might build stronger, loving and more fulfilling relationships with our supporters. Many organizations claim to be practising relationship fundraising, but in reality there is little agreement about what that actually means and what might constitute a relationship approach. In this session we’ll pull apart relationship fundraising and the concept of donor centricity drawing on the latest science from philanthropic psychology or PhilPychTM. We’ll look at the concepts of identity, wellbeing and love and how they can be leveraged to quite literally double your income. We’ll share with you our experimental testing and show you many examples of how organizations around the world have put our ideas into practice Participants will leave with a new perspective on how to get the most from their communication and help donors to do likewise.
