Russian-American philosopher Ayn Rand (1905-1982) was one of the most controversial and polarizing voices of the 20th century. Challenging conventional wisdom at every turn and offering fresh (and often shocking) alternatives, Rand has garnered legions of both fans and critics.
In this live event, Ayn Rand Institute philosopher Dr Aaron Smith will lead a guided discussion of Ayn Rand's essay "Causality versus Duty", in which she argues that we should jettison the notion of "duty" entirely and think in very different terms about what morality demands of us.
