Thursday, November 6, 6:30pm - 9:30pm (EST)
Let's gather and walk together to celebrate 10 year Coralus, reflect on what this means for our local Coralus community, connect with other Coralus members (might include special guests) and just take in the grounding lands of Dharug and Gundungarra people.
When?
We'll meet at 10:30am at Blue Mts Cultural Centre lobby (5 min walk from Katoomba station). We'll finish around 3pm at Echo Point/ Three Sisters.
Where do we walk to?
We'll walk to Katoomba Falls Kiosk (2km, approx 30 min), then head to Witches Leap via a 30 minute circuit track (short uphill section). After lunch at the Kiosk Cafe, we can walk to Echo Point (approx 20 min, mostly flat) and admire the Three Sisters where our gathering will end. From there, it's possible to take a bus back to the Main Street or walk (35min).
What are alternatives to walking?
Katoomba Falls Kiosk can be accessed by car, it's across the Caravan Park. There are some beautiful lookouts accessible through a paved pathway with some stairs. Dogs are allowed there as it's council land. Dogs are not allowed on the Witches Leap track as it's National Park. So, please reach out, if that's an option for you. We will have lunch at the Kiosk Cafe. From there it's possible to drive to Echo Point.
How can I contribute?
If you feel inspired by this idea to gather and walk and would like to contribute, please reach out! Co-creation is always welcome at Coralus.
