NCTCOG Webinar: Engaging Communities on Sustainability

Join the North Central Texas Council of Governments for the webinar, Engaging Communities on Sustainability. The webinar will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Speakers will cover how to communicate climate change to different audiences and highlight examples of successful community engagement campaigns on sustainability related topics. Come learn how your organization can utilize engagement to communicate and build relationships with communities on topics of sustainability.

• Speaking of Climate Change - Dr. John Nielsen-Gammon, Regent Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M University; Texas State Climatologist; and Director of Southern Regional Climate Center
• Nature Smart Libraries: A Community Hub for Nature - Sarah Coles, Executive Director of the Texas Children in Nature Network
• Building Resilience from the Ground Up: Lesson from Waco's S.C.R.A.P. Collective - Dr. Stephanie Clintonia Boddie, Associate Professor of Church & Community Ministries at Baylor University

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with speakers after the presentations.
