As part of an upcoming Annual Summit hosted by the Regional Center of Expertise North Texas, members of the Regional Integration of Sustainability Efforts (RISE) Coalition will host a Sustainable Cities and Communities Workshop March 31, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The workshop will be focused on supporting inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities. The workshop will also support the RISE Coalition’s regional goal to produce the first regional greenhouse gas inventory and associated emission reduction toolkit for the North Central Texas region. Discussion topics during the interactive workshop include, but are not limited to:
- How local governments, education, industry, private sector, and non-profits can collaborate to continue to advance sustainable communities in North Central Texas
- What success looks like and how can it be measured
- What tools do cities and other organizations have in their toolkits to further the discussion of sustainable, resilient, and climate ready communities
- Initiatives/efforts/partnerships supporting sustainability and resilience in North Central Texas communities
