Driven by climate, fragility, conflict and now COVID-19, hunger is increasing sharply. Reversing this trend is a key test for food systems transformations and many member states have signaled their determination to do that. Science tells us what to do to get back on track to meet SDG2 on Zero Hunger and nourish the future: focus on empowering the excluded while improving access of food producers and food processors to finance, inputs, technologies, and markets in ways that are that consistent with the Paris Climate Accord and 2030 Agenda. This session will listen to the priorities of Member States, review the current state of food insecurity, showcase some of the potential solutions emerging from the Summit, aims to align and mobilize resources to support national action to end hunger by 2030.
