At the start of the Decade of Action, the Food Systems Summit will serve as a catalytic moment for global public mobilization and actionable commitments to leverage the power of food systems to help the world deliver on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The FSS process has generated a tremendous amount of engagement from Member States and other stakeholders, even in the face of a pandemic. There is new energy behind greater action to support systemic shifts in food systems all over the world. The Summit is not an end in itself; therefore, it is important to ensure approaches to follow up and review are in place that maintain momentum and continue to support national actions, coalitions, and collective learning into the future for continuous impact.
Benefitting from the perspectives of key leaders, this session will explore ideas on how to do that through existing structures and mandates, as well as identify potential gaps or areas for improvement.
