Dabblers… we’re bringing this one back.

This Friday, we’re revisiting “Mama Bear” (14x11”) in a Open Studio session, and I couldn’t be more excited to paint this powerful, grounding scene with you again.

We’ll build up rich, rugged textures in the meadow, shape our evergreen trees with confident palette knife strokes, and soften everything with misty blue mountains beneath a calm, overcast sky — all while bringing Mama Bear to life right at the heart of the painting.

If you painted this one before, you’ll love seeing it with fresh eyes. And if this is your first time, you’re in for such a satisfying, steady-flow class.It’s one of those paintings that just feels good to create.
