DESCRIPTION:In Catholic ministries\, governance involves decisions that reach beyond compliance and strategy into the heart of our mission. Dr John Kleinsman will be presenting a webinar for us on 22 April from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. He has been director of the Nathaniel Centre\, Aotearoa\, New Zealand’s Catholic Bioethics Centre\, since 2010 and has worked for the centre for 25 years.\n\nAt times important values can sit in tension. This session will help provide ethical principles and frameworks when there are challenging and competing values that require us to recall our specific Mercy identity\, vision and values.\n\nThe session will draw on various case studies as a way of exploring key elements of our Mercy identity and being merciful within the complexities and contexts of our ministries in education\, housing\, healthcare and community.  It will help directors recognise when governance decisions call for moral discernment and issues of mission integrity\, and what that may look like as you grapple with those discussions around the board table.\n\nAs kaitiaki of Catholic ministries\, directors are responsible not only for sound governance\, but for keeping the mission at the heart of our decision-making.  This session will support boards to govern with greater confidence\, and a stronger awareness of what our Mercy Catholic identity means in practice.\n\nRegister here. https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/d610c3f2-f624-4f22-8f7b-99237af05f87@de3a030d-9a55-4329-aa52-e672319d01f0\n\n------\n\nPowered by addevent.com \nShare your next event with us!\n
