- AI isn't here to replace you. It handles the repetitive work — phone calls, bookings, routine questions — so your team can focus on the members in front of them.
- Hand off the work you don't want to do. The tasks that eat your day but don't need your expertise are exactly what AI handles best.
- Small changes, big returns. Practical ways to put AI to work in your operation today, and where it's headed next.
- A look under the hood. How Backswing is applying AI across golf operations — from answering the pro shop phone to managing tee sheets.

Brad Traylor leads product and engineering at Backswing, an AI platform built for golf operations. He joined early as Backswing's first product lead and now runs engineering as well, across all three products: the Backswing mobile app for golfers, Pro Shop Caddie, an AI voice agent for the pro shop, and the Course CMS that replaces decade-old operator software.
Before Backswing, Brad spent 15+ years in engineering and product leadership at Amazon, Entrata, and Podium, where he led global organizations of more than 100 people, modernized legacy platforms, and launched AI products at scale. He now applies that experience to golf, separating the AI that actually helps a course run from the AI that just sounds good in a demo.
Brad enjoys golfing any chance he can. He plays to a 12 handicap and is still trying to stop coming over the top with an open club face. #slicer
